Fair Employment Now

It's time to end precarious academic work

clock

Across Canada, contract academic staff (CAS) teach a significant proportion of post-secondary courses while facing low pay, job insecurity, limited access to benefits, and exclusion from institutional governance. Chronic underfunding and the increasing casualization of academic work threaten both academic workers and the quality of post-secondary education.

Fair Employment Now! is a national campaign led by the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) to secure fair, stable and equitable working conditions for CAS. It aims to connect the workplace issues of CAS to broader advocacy for fairness and quality education.
